Tire Temperature Rating

Last time, we learned about Treadwear. Today, we will introduce you to the letters that represent Temperature Ratings.

Temperature Ratings refers to the temperature or heat dissipation in the tire. If the heat cannot be dissipated well, it may cause high heat to build up and cause the tire to explode. Tested under controlled laboratory conditions, using letters from highest to lowest as A-C, with Grade A providing the best heat dissipation, based on the tire's resistance to heat and ability to dissipate heat, according to UTQG safety standards.

Grade A supports speeds of more than 185 km/h.

Grade B supports speeds between 160-185 km/h.

Grade C supports speeds between 136-160 km/h.

Now that you know the meaning of Temperature Rating, I hope you will know how to check the temperature rating on your tires or it is one of the options to consider when choosing new tires to make driving more suitable for your usage.
